St. John--- Jeannette Pelletier, 83, of St. John, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Hour of Divine Mercy, a prayer she cherished deeply.
Jeannette, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, gave her whole self to her family and to her faith. She poured herself into raising her family, and beyond that, she became something more to so many who knew her, a light of faith, a mentor, a steady source of comfort to anyone walking through a hard season. She lived her Catholic faith deeply and shared it with others out of pure love and belief, never asking for anything in return.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Denis and Marie (St. Jarre) Pelletier, and her sisters, Kathy Crosby and Madeline Pelletier.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clifton Pelletier, her soulmate for a lifetime, bound by love for 61 beautiful years. She also leaves behind her son, Kevin Pelletier, and her daughter, Lisa Morneault, and son-in-law, Mark Morneault. She is survived by her siblings, Marilyn Pelletier, George Pelletier, Annette Grant, and Mona Roy; and her grandchildren are Kurtis Morneault and his wife, Ashley, and Kate Holman and her husband, Jake; her great grandchildren are Luke and Ryan Morneault, and Elise Holman, with Claire Holman soon to arrive; and several loved nieces and nephews.
Her memory lives on in every one of us she loved so well, and in the simple, wholesome life she showed us how to live.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Monday, September 7, 2026, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. There will be no visitation hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Historical Society, 1258 St. John Rd., St. John Plt., ME 04743.
