Madawaska—Jeannine (Sirois) Dumond, 89, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021 at a Madawaska health care facility from complications of COVID-19. She was born on July 6, 1931 in St. Joseph N.B., daughter of the late Antoine and Weeda (Bernier) Sirois. Jeannine was a devoted wife of 53 years, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. She loved her family very much and each one of them had a special place in her heart. She loved to cook and bake her favorite foods especially during the holidays and special family gatherings. The great smell of her cooking radiated throughout her beautiful home for all to enjoy. She had a strong Christian faith and was an example for all in her family to follow. Jeannine is survived by four children, Greg Dumond and his wife Lisa of Appleton, Mark Dumond and his wife Karen of Maynard, Mass., P. Dean Dumond and his special companion Tina of Lisbon, Natalie Martin of East Madison; eight grandchildren, Mathieu (Tamara), Samuel (Beverly), Andrew, Rochelle (Jimmy), Luke, Casey (Justin), Nicole (Noah), Kristine (Nolan); three great-grandchildren, Noah, Coralee, and Liam; one sister, Jeanne D'arc Musto of New York; nieces, Pat, Linda, and Elaine. Jeannine is predeceased by her parents Antoine and Weeda (Bernier) Sirois; her husband, Leo James Dumond; one sister, Therese (Sirois) Cyr; one niece, Ann Gervias; two nephews, Jim Cyr, Tommy Musto. The family would like to thank all the staff at the High View Manor Nursing Home for the great care given to Jeannine during her stay there.
