Van Buren--- Joan Dumond, 79, died peacefully Sunday, February 8, 2015 at a Van Buren healthcare facility. She was born in Van Buren on January 25, 1936, a daughter of the late Onesime and Bertha (Violette) Ouellette. Joan worked many years in machine and factory shops in South Windsor, CT. She returned to Van Buren after her retirement. She loved to walk and ride her bicycle around town and tending her flower garden. She cherished the years she spent with her husband in Florida. She is survived by: two sons, Wayne H. Dumond of Van Buren and Ricky R. Dumond of So. Windsor, CT; one granddaughter, Crystal Dumond of So. Windsor, CT; one great grandson, Tyler James Berardi; four siblings, Glenda Roy and Herman Ouellette, both of Van Buren, Clayton Ouellette of Manchester, CT, and Rachel LaJoie of Plainville, CT Besides her parents, Joan is predeceased by: her husband of 50 years, James Dumond; a granddaughter Danielle Dumond in 2013; and thirteen siblings At Joan's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
