Madawaska---Joan Kent, 87, passed away May 11, 2026, at a Madawaska health care facility, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Fort Kent on May 14, 1938, daughter of the late Irenee and Leona (Martin) Daigle. Joan loved flowers, gardening, and playing cards. She loved socializing and was the life of the party in her younger years. Family was the center of her life and truly enjoyed spending time with all of them. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Tom Kent of Madawaska; one son, Scott Kent and his wife Shelly of Cumberland Center; two grandchildren, Kason and Maddox of Cumberland Center; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Martin Daigle, Yolande Fogg, Roderick Daigle, Rudy Daigle, Elmer Daigle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Relatives and friends may offer their condolences to the family at the church on Saturday before Mass from 9am until 9:45am.  Burial will take place immediately following the Mass at the Parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to Best Buddies of Maine, on behalf of Joan and Kason Kent, PO Box 573, Cumberland, ME 04021.
