St. David---Joan M. Sirois, 89, passed away on August 29, 2023, at a Madawaska health care facility.  She was born in Madawaska on August 24, 1934, daughter of the late Levite and Mary Jane (Cyr) Albert.  Joan enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially going for walks and riding her pedal bike.  She would often be found crocheting and doing ceramics.  She truly loved spending time with her family and friends.  She is survived by two children, Richard Sirois and wife Eileen of Guysville, OH, Sharon Chasse and husband Ronald of Madawaska; four grandchildren, Emily, Brian, Lacey, and Kevin; four great grandchildren, Jacob, Stella, Zain, Paige; one brother, Paul "Jim" Albert and his wife Teen of Southington, CT; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Leo Albert.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the St. David Church.  Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023.  There will be no visiting hours on Friday before the funeral.
