Madawaska---Joan V. Violette, 62, passed away on September 14, 2012 at a Portland health care facility. She was born in Edmundston, N.B. on December 28, 1949, the daughter of Raymond and Kathleen (Myers) Violette. She is survived by her beloved mother, Kathleen (Myers) Violette of Madawaska; five sisters, Carol Ann Collette and her husband Edward of CT; Noreen Violette of Madawaska, Doris Burlingham and her husband Richard of CT, Helen Butler and her husband Raymond of Madawaska, Karen Paglio and her husband Joe of Portland; two brothers, Kurt Violette and his dear friend Maggie Dow of Madawaska, Mark Violette and his wife Marie of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her father, Raymond Violette; two brothers, Keith and Daryl Viollette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday, September 21 at St. Thomas Church. Interment will be held immediately following the Mass at the parish cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
