Fort Kent---Joel Patrick Deprey, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2025. He was born in Eagle Lake on August 26, 1949, the son of the late Patrick and Leone (Marin) Deprey.  Joe lived in Wallagrass with his wife, Diane, until 2019, when they purchased an RV, lovingly named Monica, to travel the country. They spent time in various states, searching for waterfalls, sea glass, and their next adventure. Joe's favorite place they visited was Montana, but found it still didn't compare to the Schoodic Peninsula. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, spending time with family, gardening, and bird watching. He could name almost any bird just based on its call. In June after five years on the road, they made their way back home.  No matter what he was doing or where he was, his infectious laughter and caring demeanor followed him. To know Joe was to love him, but he would always say, "love you more".  He is survived by his loving wife, Diane, of 54 years who never left his side, his brother Allen, five sisters, Leonette, Priscille, Joan, Joyce, and Amy, his grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 siblings Lorainne, Thomas, Patrick, and Rena. A funeral service will be conducted at 10am on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E.
