St. Francis--- Joel Normand Jandreau (75) of Saint Francis, Maine, died peacefully in his sleep on July 12, 2022. He was born on August 25, 1946, son of the late Rosaire and Loraine (Hanff). Joel is predeceased by his siblings: Emma Jean, Euclid, Michael, Maurice, and Edward. He leaves behind his wife, Rinette (Labrie); children, Marty of Fort Kent, Maine, Christopher of North East, Maryland, and Shawn and his wife Cheryl of Columbus, Georgia; Grandchildren: Adrian, Jordan, Amber, Allison, and Blake; one great-grandchild on the way, and siblings, Donald, Mary (Darlene), Tamma (Dumais) and her husband Lloyd, and Sheldon. Joel also had a special attachment to his niece and nephew William and Amelia. Joel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved building furniture for his family.

Joel worked most of his life for H.O. Bouchard, Inc for 40 years until he retired.  He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.  Since Joel's retirement, he has been an ambassador for Patient Air-Lift Services (PALS) assisting many sick or injured individuals living in rural Maine communities (mostly Aroostook County) to obtain free flights to larger hospitals where they could obtain care.

The funeral will be held at St. Charles church on August 27, 2022, at 10 AM, followed by a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fort Kent.
