Van Buren & Portland--- John F. Sirois, 51, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He was born July 31, 1962 in Van Buren, the third oldest of seven children of Armand and Betty (Carini) Sirois, and graduated from Van Buren Secondary School. John enlisted with the US Army, proudly serving in Germany for several years. He owned and operated his own carpentry and construction business in the Portland area for over 20 years. He loved to keep busy, was a hard worker and took great pride in his work and pleasing his clients. In his little spare time, John was constructing his own home in Portland before moving back to Van Buren. He is survived by: his parents of Van Buren; five siblings, Betty Morrow Roy and her husband Ken, Joseph Sirois and his companion Chantel, Jeff Sirois, Cyndi Sirois and her husband Jeannot and Cheryl Lizotte, all of Van Buren; and many nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by a brother, James Sirois, and a brother-in-law, Melvin Morrow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home-Van Buren, 118 High St., Van Buren.
