Obituary

Madawaska---John Daigle, 80, passed away on June 7, 2013 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on July 30, 1932, son of the late Oscar and Delphine (Robichaud) Daigle. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 0366 of Madawaska. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post #147 of Madawaska. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a die hard Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching many games on tv. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty three years, Patricia (Parent) Daigle of Madawaska; two daughters, Karen Lavoie and her husband Gary of Carmel, Louise Everett of Old Town; two sons, John Daigle and his wife Darlene of Concord, NH, Philip Daigle of Houlton; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Lauryn, Kristyn, Danielle, Joshua, Damian, Naomi; two sisters, Laura Mae Corriveau of Fort Kent, Ruth Thompson of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, Ron Daigle, and Carrol Daigle both of Madawaska; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Thursday, June 13 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am. Interment will take place immediately after the mass in the Parish cemetery. Contributions in John's memory may be made to the Edgar J.
