Madawaska---John S. McInnis, Jr. (Jack), 82, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Edmundston, N.B. on August 11, 1935, a son of the late John B., Sr. and Lily (Morgan) McInnis. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked as an electrician at Fraser Papers for forty-four and a half years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially enjoyed his Friday bowling with his friends. Jack is survived by his loving wife of sixty two years, Sylvia (Corriveau) McInnis of Madawaska; three daughters, Diane Levesque and her husband Jim of Frenchville, Carol Morency and her husband Julien of Edmundston, N.B., Kim Martin and her husband Jake of Sinclair; seven grandchildren, Mark Cyr, Laurie Thibeault, Christine Thibodeau, Janice Chowdhry, Crystal Morin, Kathleen Morin, and Gavin Martin; six great grandchildren, Deserae Munoz, Kyle Dionne, Andrew Thibodeau, Samuel Thibodeau, Jasmine Chowdhry, and Skylinn Mullens; two siblings, Muriel Nelson of Madawaska, and Robert McInnis and his wife Norma of The Villages, Florida; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jean (Morin) McInnis; one brother, William McInnis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am on Tuesday before the Mass. Interment will take place immediately following the Mass in the Parish cemetery.
