Fort Kent/Oakville, CT---Joseph Julian "Bill" Charette, 98, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023, at a Fort Kent health care facility.  He was born in Eagle Lake on October 5, 1924, son of the late Jean Baptist and Delima (Russell) Charette.  Bill is survived by five children, James Charette and his wife Tammy of Connecticut, Arlene Johns and her husband Kent of Florida, Robert Charette and his wife Laura of Florida, Robin Budzinovski and her husband Richard of Connecticut, Lisa Hebert and her husband Maurice of Fort Kent; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; his wife, Jacqueline Thibeault of Frenchville and her children, Karen, Glen, and Sandy all of Frenchville; one brother, John Charette and his wife Rose of Van Buren; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Rita (Caron) Charette; one daughter, Carole Trosky and her husband George.  Funeral services will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to either Northern Light Home Care and Hospice, 18 Green Hill Dr., Suite 1, Presque-Isle, ME 04769, or American Sclerosis Society, https://secure.nationalmssociety.org
