Joseph Philip Boutote

September 18, 1948 — March 31, 2026

Port Saint Lucie, Florida and Fort Kent

Joseph Philip Boutote, 77, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at a healthcare facility in his adopted home of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He was born September 18, 1948, in Lewiston, ME, the son of Norman and Irene (Caron) Boutot. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Doreen (Boutote) O'Sullivan of Harwinton, CT.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne Boutote of Port Saint Lucie, FL; his son, Darrin Boutote and his wife Sonia, of Colchester, CT; his daughter Casandra Flores and her husband Eddy, of Vero Beach, FL; and his daughter, Leah Leisch and her husband Giang, of Birmingham, AL. In addition to his children, he is survived by his grandchildren, Emilie, Elisabeth, Natalie, Nina, Isabella, Selah, Hawk, Ember, Timothy, Patrick, and Liam.

Known as "Phil" to the folks back home in Fort Kent, this "boy from small-town Maine", as he liked to say, always marveled at the experiences he was able to have, exploring the world through his career at Pratt & Whitney Aerospace, where he worked for over 30 years. An Airforce Veteran, devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather, Joe was a man dedicated to country and family. Always quick with a story, and eager to lend an ear or a power tool, he was the guy to call when you needed to talk, or needed a hand. He will be greatly missed.

Honoring his wishes, a burial service will be held June 25 at the St. Louis Catholic Church parish cemetery in Fort Kent.
