Joseph C. Coulombe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joseph Clarence Coulombe on September 17, 2026. Born on May 1, 1940, in Hartford, Connecticut, Joseph was a beloved son of Edwin and Hedwidge Daigle Coulombe. He was a man of great character, whose life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy.

Joseph, affectionately known as Clarence, spent his final days under the compassionate care of the dedicated nurses at High View Manor in Madawaska, Maine, where he succumbed to cancer complications. His journey was marked by his unwavering spirit and a life filled with treasured memories.

Joe proudly served his country as a member of the Army, followed by a tenure in the Army Reserves. After his service, he dedicated himself to a career at New Departure Manufacturing, from where he retired in 1995. His work ethic and dedication were admired by all who knew him.

Joe was predeceased by his siblings, Lillian Chase, Elise Woschnik, Rella White, Rilda Caruso, and Bernard Coulombe, with whom he shared cherished memories and laughter. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Ted Coulombe and his wife Sara of Farmington, CT, his daughter Jodi Coulombe of Plainville, CT, and his daughter Danielle Blanchette and her husband Duane of Kensington, CT. He was the proud grandfather to Alexander, Zachary, Isabelle, Collin, Mitchell, and Corinne, and the great-grandfather to two beautiful great-grandchildren, Theo and Charlotte. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and his love for them was boundless.

Joe’s life was filled with simple pleasures; he found joy in taking long drives to visit family and exploring various casinos along his travels. His love for sweets and classic music, especially the tunes of Conway Twitty, brought him happiness and comfort throughout his life.

His family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at High View Manor, Madawaska, Maine, for their compassionate care and kindness during Joe’s final days.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Joe’s life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Joe's memory to a charity of your choice.

Joseph Clarence Coulombe will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the love he shared with everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish his memory forever. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
