Fort Kent—Joseph "June" Roland Despres, 81, passed away July 29, 2021 at Forest Hill in Fort Kent, Maine.  He was born February 4, 1940 in Frenchville, Maine; son of the late Roland and Rose (Bard) Deprey.

He is survived by his wife Karin Despres, two sons; James and Marcus Despres, two grandchildren; Andre and Nicole Despres, his brother Jim Deprey and sister Lulu Pelletier.

June was a devoted father and avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fly-tying, fishing, hunting, and cooking for his fishing buddies.  He was a very avid amateur radio operator.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand.  As a long-time resident of Fort Kent, he had touched many people's lives; he will be missed.

Funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
