Fort Kent—Josephat Madore, 93, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021 at his home. He was born in Frenchville, June 14, 1928, son of the late Denis and Marie (Gervais) Madore. Josephat is survived by one son, Larry Madore and his wife Johanna; one daughter, Debbie Madore; three granddaughters, Jill Madore, Lynn Cossaboom (Phil), and Jessica Lowry (Zachary); one great-grandson, Evan Harlow; three sisters, Yvette Hebert, Evangeline Bouley, Delores Chasse; one brother, Bert Roy. Josephat is predeceased by his parents Denis and Marie (Gervais) Madore; his wife Yvette Madore who passed earlier this year; two sisters, Aline Hebert, Egline Dubois; two brothers, Ivan Roy, Norman Roy; one great-grandson, Samuel Sturgeon. A graveside service will be held 1pm Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the St. Louis Cemetery in Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #133, 411 W. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
