Joyce Violette

Van Buren & Caribou--- Joyce E. Violette, 91, passed away December 11, 2025, following a brief hospital stay. She was born November 1934, in Caribou, a daughter of the late Herbert and Pauline (McFarland) Learnard Sr.

Joyce married Wilmot “Boy” Violette in 1953 and cherished 37 loving years raising her family until his tragic passing in 1989. She was a dedicated mother who raised her children well and celebrated every milestone. Joyce and her husband Boy never met a stranger, and they managed their Van Buren family farm for many years. They were both members of the Van Buren Snowmobile Club

Joyce is survived by one daughter, Elaine Lebel (Jacksonville FL) ; two sons, Daniel (Greer, SC) and Rodney (Veyo UT); a brother, Herbert Learnard Jr. (Van Buren); three sisters, Edna Giannelis (Wilmington NC), Donna Saggese (Limestone) and Linda Corbin (Madawaska); and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Joyce was predeceased by two daughters, Sandra Violette-Paryga (age 55 of Las Vegas) and Laury Violette (age 11), two sisters, Mavis Bouchard and Helen Barker, and three brothers, Richard Learnard, Carol Learnard and Robert Learnard.
