IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judy (Raymond)
Chasse
January 10, 1958 – April 16, 2025
GLENBURN & FORT KENT, ME - Judy Marie (Raymond) Chasse passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at Banner Gateway Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona, after succumbing to a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 10, 1958, in Fort Kent, Maine, to the late Alsime "Babe" and Mary (Marin) Raymond.
Judy was a lover of nature, mountains, water and especially flowers. After her retirement, Judy loved to travel the world and share her experiences with all of the people in her life. She was an avid photographer and created crafts from items she gathered from her travels. Most importantly, Judy believed in cultivating strong bonds with family and friends, and went out of her way to ensure she could bring family together, both near and far. Her competitive spirit will be missed dearly as we keep up her tradition of playing games of all sorts when we gather. She will fondly be remembered for her love of biking and playing pickleball, which she played without mercy. Judy will live on in the hearts of all the lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James (Jim) Chasse; her two sons and their spouses, Christopher Chasse and Maria Le of Arizona, their daughters, Mary, Maddie, and Mia; and Derrick and Karissa Chasse of Brewer, Maine, and their son, Greyson; her many sisters and their spouses, Jeanette and Bobby Michaud of Frenchville/Florida, Linda and Roland Jandreau of Presque Isle, Patsy and Herb Albert of Frenchville, Paige Raymond of Brewer, Mona and Mike McCormick of Orrington, and Donna Marin and Galen Wellman of The Villages, FL; and one brother, Gary Raymond of Fort Kent. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dolores Chasse of Fort Kent, who treated her like a daughter, her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. Judy joins her mother and father, her brother, Steve Raymond; her sister, Nancy Golembesky; and father-in-law, Gerard Chasse in heaven.
A church service will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 24th, at St. Louis Church, Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743, or your choice of cancer research charity. Interment will be in Northern Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Caribou, ME. To share condolences online, please visit www.LajoieFuneralHome.com
