Fort Kent---Heaven gained another angel when Julie Taylor passed away on March 1, 2024. She was born April 4, 1944, in Eagle Lake, ME, the daughter of Edwin and Alphena (Ouellette) Theriault. Julie worked at Aroostook Trust Bank but was best known as an administrative assistant at the Fort Kent Elementary School. Julie's infectious laugh, big personality, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Julie is with her loving husband David Taylor, Sr. in Heaven. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Sandra (Taylor) and her husband Charlie Bodwell, and their children and grandchildren: Lindsey, Donny, Lucas and Leo Joy; Cody, Becca and Charlotte Bodwell; a daughter, Shelly (Taylor) and her husband, David Yankowsky, and their grandchildren, Khloe, Hayden, Ella; and her son David Taylor, Jr, and his children, Tripp and Ruby. She also leaves behind her siblings: Carroll and Odette Theriault, Edgar Belanger, Jackie Theriault, and Bertha Sirois; brother-in-law Gerald Hebert, sister-in-law Marti Belanger, many nieces and nephews, and close family friend Ruth Lunn. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Patrick Belanger, her grandsons, Adam and Sean Yankowsky, siblings and spouses: Nelson and Susan Belanger, Maxine and Roland Roy, Pauline Hebert, Roger Belanger, sister and brother in laws Barbara Belanger and Philip Sirois. Mom was always the life of the party, and lit up every room she walked into. She was a devout Catholic and spent her days praying for everyone. She was very thankful for her stay at Crosswinds and the kind and loving caretakers she encountered there. The family would like to thank the angels at Crosswinds and their unending love for Mom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home. There will be no visiting hours on Wednesday morning before the Mass. Interment will be in the spring with details to follow. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations in Julie's memory to Crosswinds at 40 Village Rd, Fort Kent, ME 04743 and to 1st Mile Active Recovery at Michael's Active Recovery 267 W Main St, Fort Kent, ME 04743.
