Obituary

Van Buren, ME & Portsmouth, NH --- Juliette Beaulieu, 97, passed away on the 15th of April surrounded by her family in Portsmouth, NH. She was born in Drummond, NB, Canada to Joseph V. Ouellette and Memory (St. Amand) Ouellette on December 24, 1916. Juliette was married to Patrick Beaulieu on July 3, 1939 in Van Buren and later became a US citizen. Van Buren is where they raised eight children and spent the rest of their married life. She had many talents: an avid card player, an accomplished bowler, the local seamstress, and an excellent cook who did not use recipes. Walking with her husband was a daily routine. All and all, she was a social individual who loved to have people around her. She is survived by her five daughters Patricia DiCicco and husband John of Exeter, NH; Jane Savard of Wells, ME; Nancy Richard and husband Jim of Fitchburg, MA; Del (Hilda) Pontremoli of Wells, ME; Jan (Byrd) Nolet of Rochester, NH; two sons Ronald Beaulieu and wife Monique of Scarborough, ME; Roger Beaulieu and wife Jane Gagne of Yarmouth, ME; eleven grandchildren Michelle Beaulieu, Danielle Beaulieu, Samuel Beaulieu, Gabrielle Beaulieu, Michael DiCicco, Debbie DiCicco Moody, Julie Richard Hyvarinen, Joey Richard, Tamra Pontremoli, Greg Savard, Kevin Savard; and eight great-grandchildren. Juliette was predeceased by her husband, Patrick and her son, Richard. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and devotion given to Juliette during her stay at Clipper Harbor (Genesis) nursing home. They would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Sol Amor Hospice who went above and beyond to provide Juliette and the family support during these difficult times. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday morning 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High Street, Van Buren. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
