Obituary

Winterville & Connecticut--- Katherine S. Albert, 63 of Winterville, Maine, formerly of Connecticut, passed away peacefully at her treasured lake front home on St. Froid Lake on November 6, 2025. Kathy was surrounded by love, peace and comfort during her final days following a valiant battle with metastatic colon cancer.

Born in Eagle Lake, Maine on February 10, 1962, to Everett F. Albert and Elizabeth (Soucy) Albert, Kathy spent her childhood in Connecticut and graduated from Southington High School, Class of 1980. A lifelong lover of books and writing, Kathy's passion for the written word was reflected in the countless books she owned and read, as well as in her own creativity as a writer. Kathy's ability to persevere, even through the toughest of times, was shown every day with her dedication to her family, her friends and in pursuing her own personal goals.

Kathy will forever be loved by her devoted family, including her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Christina Hebert of So. Carolina; her cherished grandchildren, Sophie and Nicholas; her mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Albert; her niece, Kayla Meyers, and her husband, Joshua, and their children, Saoirse and Regan; her nephew, Chad Albert, and his wife, Tracy, and their children, Everett and Lia; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Albert, all of Winterville; and her nephew, Brad Albert of New York. Kathy also leaves behind her longtime companion, Eli Ringrose of Connecticut, his family, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends, and her precious cat, Piper, who was her loyal companion throughout her cancer journey, bringing her immeasurable comfort and healing.

She was predeceased by her father, Everett Francis Albert, and her brother, Keith Allen Albert.

Kind and generous of spirit, always putting others ahead of herself, she will be immeasurably missed. The vibrance of her soul will forever live on in those whose lives she touched, and she will endlessly be a new, bright light in the night sky, sprinkling her stardust everywhere.

Kathy and her family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Hartford Healthcare-Backus Hospital, Connecticut, for the wonderful care that they provided, especially Dr. Jaykumar Thumar and Katie Hurley, and to the staff at Northern Lights Home and Hospice, Maine, for the compassionate care and generous support they gave to Kathy in her final days, especially Shawna and Missy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake.
