Masardis--- Katherine "Kay" Parker, 81, died Thursday evening, December 10, 2020, at a Presque Isle nursing home, following a long-term illness. She was born April 27, 1939 in Masardis, a daughter of the late J. Cedric "Buster" and Marjorie (Johnston) Lyons.
Kay was a former beautician for many years. While she styled hair in her at-home shop in Masardis or visiting her clients' homes, she delighted chatting and serving the beauty needs of her many clients. Kay was a dedicated wife and mother, a fantastic cook, and prided herself for diligently raising four wonderful children. She loved spending time with her family and many friends and cherished many memories of get-togethers at the family camp in Garfield.
She is survived by: four children, George MacDonald and his companion Teri England of Washington, Kathy Levesque and her husband Dan of Portage Lake, Pamela MacDonald and her husband David Back of Texas, and Lee Parker Jr. of California; two siblings, Dana Lyons and his wife Theresa of Masardis and Sue Beaulier of Brewer; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Lee A. Parker, in 2019, and a grandson, Adam Michalka, in 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be announced and held in Spring 2021. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland.
