IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen
Hennessey
August 9, 1951 – January 7, 2020
She graduated from Madawaska High School in 1969 and then moved to Hartford, Connecticut where she worked for Etna Insurance. Kathy became the secretary at the Madawaska School Department in 1976 and worked there tirelessly until she retired in 2010. She was dedicated to the staff and the students at Madawaska High School and she considered the students her kids.
Kathy enjoyed being able to volunteer at St. Thomas Aquinas in Madawaska and was proud to be a member of the church community. She would donate her time to funeral buffets, count money on Monday mornings, and help at the parish center. She became a proud and active member of the Daughters of Isabella in November of 2013. Along with volunteering at the church she also volunteered her time at the Christian Life Center in Frenchville, Maine, which is also where she completed her Curcillo Weekend in 1999 and her ACTS retreat in 2010 and 2014. Faith was a huge part of Kathy's life and it made her feel blessed and comforted. Kathy really enjoyed her monthly get together with her retired friends for lunch and was blessed with numerous friends that she could always count on and her family will be forever grateful for.
She is survived by her oldest brother Patrick Hennessey and his wife Elaine of Lexington, SC; her older sister Sharon Arnold of Hampden, ME; her younger brother Michael Hennessey and his wife Erin of Vernon, CT. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Kristi Dugal of Brewer, ME; Kelly Drennan and her husband John of Westfield, NJ; Jamie Hennessey and his wife Kathleen of South Windsor, CT; Kara Hennessey of Vernon, CT; and Caitlyn and Nicholas Hennessey of Vernon, CT. She was also blessed and loved by her great nieces and nephews; Brianna and Trevor Dugal of Brewer, ME; Emily and Abigail Drennan of Westfield, NJ; and Oliver and Amelia Hennessey of South Windsor, CT. She is predeceased by her Dad, James Hennessey and her Mom, Priscilla Cyr Hennessey and many aunts and uncles.
