Van Buren--- Kenneth R. Sirois, 71, passed away peacefully April 30, 2026, at his home with the beautiful background of the lake outside his window. He was born March 19, 1955 in Van Buren, ME, a son of the late Henry and Edna (Cyr) Sirois.
Following his graduation from Van Buren Secondary School, Class of 1973, Ken enlisted with the US Air Force and served stateside in Alaska. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Van Buren. Ken last worked for Maine Public Service, Presque Isle, and was also a longtime lineman for Van Buren Power. Following 30 years of electrical service, Ken retired to the lake. Ken was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved riding his wheeler around the lake. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, playing cards late into the evening, but you always knew he was watching a Red Sox game when shouts were heard across the water. Ken cherished his grandchildren and loved their many visits.
He is survived by two sons, Hank Sirois and his wife Sara of Windham, and Mike Sirois and his wife Alexis of Hamlin; four grandchildren, Henri, Madeline, Lucy, and Jacob; one sister, Lisa Laplante and her husband John of Wiscasset; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his siblings, Kathleen Marquis, Don Sirois, Jim Sirois, and Richard St. Amand.
