Madawaska---Kevin J. Fortin, 50, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2016 at an Edmundston health care facility. He was born in Edmundston on July 9, 1965, son of Albert and Therese (Ivany) Fortin. He is survived by his beloved mother, Therese "Gail" (Couturier) Fortin of Madawaska; his sister, Kim Cyr and her companion Jimmy Bisson of Saco; a special nephew, Ian Cyr of Saco; a brother-in-law, Scott of Westbrook; a very special friend, Lorraine Cheng and her children, Cindy, Jason, Nathan, Macy all of Canada. He was also known as "Pepere" to Hunter, Blaize, Killian, and Damian also of Canada. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kevin was predeceased by his father, Albert Fortin in 1997. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at the church from 9am until 9:45am before the service.
