November 6, 1930 – October 23, 2025
Grand Isle--- Laura F. Morrow, 94, peacefully entered into eternal life on October 23, 2025, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born November 6, 1930 in Connors, NB, Canada, the youngest daughter of the late Leonard and Alice (Dube) Pelletier.
On July 3, 1952, Laura married the love of her life, Raymond Morrow and together made their home in Grand Isle. Along with raising her family, she worked many years as a CNA at High View Manor. She cherished assisting the residents with their care and independence. Laura was a lifelong communicant of St. Gerard Catholic Church and had a strong devotion to Mary, praying the rosary daily. During her younger years, Laura loved the outdoors in all seasons, painting ceramics and participating in local prayer groups. Most of all, Laura cherished her family time when preparing meals, especially on Sundays to bring her family together creating lasting memories for her grandchildren.
Laura is survived by her son, Andre Morrow and his partner April Levesque of Grand Isle; her daughter, Rachel LaJoie and her husband Dominic of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Heather Daigle and her husband Corey of St. David, Zachary Morrow of Madawaska, Megan Centerbar and her husband Michael of Massachusetts, Lindsay Wingfield and her husband Dylan of Falmouth, Nicholas LaJoie and his wife Jennifer of Edgecomb, and Thomas LaJoie and his wife Haley of North Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Miah Morrow, Jocelyn, Simon and Elizabeth Wingfield; sister in law, Scottie Pelletier; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Laura was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Raymond L. Morrow in 2013, and all nine of her siblings.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Ridgewood Estates for their dedication and compassionate care of Madame Laura, as they so lovingly called her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday evening 6 – 8:00 PM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
