Fort Kent—Laurelle (Charette) Bouchard, 92, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. Laurelle completed her Cursillo in 1988, she is now living her 5th day. She was born on July 10, 1933, daughter of the late Adelard and Catherine (Lausier)

Laurelle is survived by nine children; Mae Ann Bouchard Plourde and her husband Jeannot, Normand Bouchard Jr. and his wife Helene, Daniel Bouchard and his wife Claire, Helen Bouchard Levesque and her husband George, Andrew Bouchard, Amy Guerrette and her husband Richard, Sharon Bouchard Jandreau and her husband Kevin, Michael Bouchard, Raymond Bouchard; 25 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren;

six siblings; Walden (Norma) Charette, Gerard (Ida) Charette, Beatrice (Kent) Parent, Antoinette (James) Hamburg, and David (Angela) Charette.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 68 years Normand Bouchard, Sr.; three brothers, Pierre Jr., Robert, and Roger Charette, grandchildren; Crystal Lynn, Justin and April Levesque, Anthony Hodgkin and two great grandchildren; Oliver and Jedidiah Harvey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10am, at the St. Louis church. In keeping with Laurelle’s wishes there will be no visiting hours.
