Caswell and Limestone--- Laurie E. St. Pierre passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at a Caribou healthcare facility, several days after celebrating her 99th Birthday. She was born April 3, 1919 in Caswell, a daughter of the late Richard and Laura (Theriault) Cote.
She was a devoted homemaker and loved spending her time caring for her husband and raising her rambunctious children. Laurie busied her hands with painting, knitting, crochet and tending her garden. Most of her bounty was shared with her children and friends. She was a 25-year member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Limestone. A devout Catholic, she attended Mass at St. Joseph Church, Hamlin, and later St. Louis Church, Limestone.
She is survived by: four sons, Frederick St. Pierre and his wife Jeanne of Caswell, Dennis St. Pierre and his wife Joy of Bucksport, Stephen St. Pierre and his wife Carolyn of Texas, and David St. Pierre and his wife Virginia of Florida; one daughter, Theresa Conroy of Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Lapierre) St. Pierre of Caswell; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Laurie is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Roy St. Pierre in 1982, a son, Clayton St. Pierre in 2014, one grandchild, Kevin, two great grandchildren, Scott Jr. & Shelby, a son-in-law, William Donald Conroy, and seven siblings, Elmer Cote, Lena St. Pierre, Mary Gerard, Linwood Cote, Bill Cote, Edwin Cote, and Celia McGee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin. Relatives and friends may greet the family Friday morning 10-10:45 AM at the church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie's name may be made to: St. Joseph Parish Needs, c/o Knights of Columbus, 284 Main St., Van Buren, ME 04785.
