Fort Kent---  Lawrence (Larry) Gilbert Audibert, 90, passed away peacefully at Forest Hill Manor on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Larry was born on April 10,1932.  He was the youngest son of the late John and Catherine (Collin) Audibert. Larry was a teacher in Fort Kent for 37 years and was the Driver's Education instructor at Fort Kent Community High School for 25 of those years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club, the Fort Kent SnoRiders Snowmobile Club and the Fort Kent Golf Club where he mowed lawns in his retirement and played in the Twilight League for years. He enjoyed his family, traveling, golfing, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting and especially loved talking with friends at their businesses and meeting with friends for coffee on a regular basis. He was an avid storyteller and loved telling stories of his life full of humor to anyone who would lend an ear. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Claudette Geraldine (Daigle) Audibert.  Also surviving are his son, Jeff Audibert and daughters, Marlene and husband Craig Ouellette, Cyndi Audibert, Eileen (Babe) and her husband Monte Alexander, Jennifer and her husband Joseph Henry  and Pamela Sirois.  He was called Pépère or Pop Pop by his 12 grandchildren Matt ,Zach, Sarah, Kristen, Lisa, Steven, Maeghan, Colin, Lucas Matthew, and Alex and 7 great grandchildren Zachary, Ryan, Abby Sawyer, Madeline, Lucy and Asher. He had many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Larry was predeceased by his siblings Leopold Audibert, Rita Ambrose, Priscilla Ivon, Sister Catherine and Clifford Audibert. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, 10am at the St. Louis church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 6-8pm, and the morning of the service from 8:30-9:30.
