Meriden, CT and Portake Lake---Lawrence "Larry" Pinette, 66, passed away August 11, 2014 at a Presque-Isle health care facility after a brief illness. He was born in Portage Lake on April 30, 1948, son of Edmund (Buster) and Florence (Boutot) Pinette. Larry donated a lot of his time at the American Legion, Post #45. He worked for Woodkee Bro. doing paving work for many years. Larry is survived by his loving wife of forty six years, Betty (Charette) Pinette of Portage Lake; his son, Michael Pinette and his wife Carla of Wallingford, CT; his daughter, Amy Pinette of Meriden, CT; two grandsons who meant the world to him, Nathan and Joshua; three brothers, Reginald and his wife Rachel of Portage, Leonard (Snuffy) and his wife Joyce of Washburn, and Clarence (Whitey) and his wife Dorothy of Wallingford, CT; two sisters, Arlene Daigle of Winterville, Irene Boyles and her husband Lorne, Sr. of Portage Lake; several nieces and nephews. Upon Larry's request, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home, Inc.
