IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leland
Boucher
April 8, 1962 – October 9, 2023
Fort Kent--- Leland Boucher, 61, passed unexpectedly October 9, 2023. He was born April 8, 1962 in Fort Kent, a son of Gertrude (Blier) Boucher and the late Emile Boucher.
Lee enlisted with the Maine National Guard and served over 20 years, and he was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Fort Kent. He last worked over 13 years with Maine DOT, Fort Kent, as a devoted snowplow driver and operated many road maintenance projects. Previously he was a diesel mechanic with Frank Martin & Sons for over 20 years.
Lee enjoyed working outside and was commonly seen washing one of his cars or motorcycles. His baby, Daisy, was his trusted canine companion who rarely left his side. He enjoyed listening to music, especially country and rock and roll, which would fill the halls of his home late into the evenings. An avid joker, many of his friends were delightfully the butt of his jokes, but all knew well if they needed anything, Lee was the man to call.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Lisa (Gagnon) Boucher of Fort Kent; his mother of Madawaska; one daughter, Samantha Boucher of Fort Kent; three stepchildren, Sharon Rossignol of Van Buren, Tobey Cyr of Biddeford, and Riva Doucette of Madawaska; one brother, Danny Boucher of Fort Kent; a granddaughter, Hannah; two step grandchildren, Erik and Rowan; and several special nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Lee was predeceased by a sister Brenda Dube.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boucher family to assist in offsetting final expenses and would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
