Eagle Lake and Madawaska---Leonard Chamberlain, 70, passed away on August 13, 2015 at a Presque-Isle health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on January 25, 1945, son of the late Arthur and Rita (Pelletier) Chamberlain. Leonard was in the care of Northern Maine General for the past twenty years, where the staff became part of the family. Bruce Dubey, a caregiver, had a special place in Leonard's heart during his stay at Northern Maine General. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as, being outdoors, drinking his coffee, and swinging. He is survived by one sister, Ida Beaulieu and her husband Ray of Madawaska; two nephews, Dale Beaulieu and his wife Denise, Dana Beaulieu all of Madawaska; Great niece, Amber Beaulieu of Madawaska; many nieces, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his brother, Andrew Chamberlain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences from 9am until 9:45am at the church before the service. Committal will be held Parish cemetery.
