Frenchville --- Leonard Plourde, 83, passed away on January 22, 2020, at a Frenchville healthcare facility. He was born on June 12, 1936, son of the late Josepha and Edwina (Charette) Plourde. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Plourde of Frenchville; three children,  Patricia Cathcart and her husband William of Connecticut, Barbara Roy and her husband Ronald of Frenchville, and Jeff Plourde and his wife Diane of Frenchville; seven grandchildren, Tessie, Ashley, Dustin, Curtis, Alicia, Lydia, and Kenny; 16 great-grandchildren, Ali, Addyson, Breeya, Everly, Fahrya, Alexis, Landon, Nathan, Brooklyn, Adelin, Dawson, Avery, Aiden, Clara, Trista, and Charlize; eight siblings, Phelda Blier, Gloria Caron, Edward Plourde, Roger Plourde, Maynard Plourde, Danford Plourde, Millie Albert, and Jeffrey Plourde; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by five siblings, Velma Caron, Linda Ouellette, Tina Thibodeau, Eldon Plourde and Elmer Plourde. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Madawaska Gospel Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences from 10-10:45 at the church, before the service. Spring Interment will be held at the Living Hope Cemetery in St. David, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home in Fort Kent.
