Millinocket---Lester Raymond Cyr, 52, passed away, surrounded by family and friends, after a brief battle with cancer. Lester made a career as a diesel mechanic and woods equipment operator with W.T. Gardner and Gerald Pelletier and sons. He prided himself on his work ethic and performance.  He was predeceased by his parents Norma Jean Larson and Patrick Omar Cyr; one sister; Sandra Stelzer; one sister-in-law, Peggy Austin Cyr; and a nephew, Hunter Wayne Archie. Lester is survived by his two sons, Shawn Robert Cyr and wife Hillary and James Raymond Cyr; a grandson, Forrest Jackson Cyr, all of Millinocket; his brother, David Cyr and girlfriend Bobbi Jo Fecteau of Solon; his sister, Nicky Cyr of Bangor; as well as several special aunts, uncles and friends. The family would like to thank the Millinocket Regional doctors, nurses and staff for their support and kind words. A graveside service will be planned for this spring.
