Obituary

Madawaska--- Lestina “Liz” Pelletier, 97, peacefully entered into Eternal Life and into the waiting arms of her late husband September 30, 2026, at a Frenchville healthcare facility. She was born on August 26, 1929, in Caribou, a daughter of the late Eugene and Mamie (Dubois) Bouchard.

Liz worked many years with Highview Manor, assisting residents with their physical therapy and needs. Previously she worked a short time with Robert’s Jewelry. She was a life member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Daughters of Isabella, the Red Hat Ladies, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Liz was an avid card player and adored spending her evenings with her friends with a good game. She also went candlepin bowling in Canada.

She is survived by three sons, Gene Pelletier of Florida, Terrence Pelletier of Madawaska, and Gary Pelletier of Texas; three daughters, Sharon Whitcomb of Frenchville, Arlene Trout of Arizona, and Eloise Styles of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Mazerolle and her husband Cliff of Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lestina was predeceased by her husband Armand Pelletier in 1996, and two siblings, Eugene Bouchard, Jr. and Theresa Evans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday evening 6 – 8 PM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
