IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Liliane (Pinet)
Ouellette
June 23, 1942 – June 21, 2021
Fort Kent--- Liliane (Pinet) Ouellette, 78, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021, at the House of Comfort in Presque Isle after an extraordinary battle with cancer. She was born in St. Juste du Lac, Canada on June 23, 1942, to the late Rodulphe and Emilienne (Langlais) Pinet.
Liliane was predeceased by her brother Georges H. Pinet of Enfield Maine, her son Vincent Ouellette of Cleveland New York, and her beloved pets Alex, George, Dusty and especially her sweet Pugsy. She is survived by two sons and five grandchildren. Her son Danny and his wife Lesa of Buxton, Maine, and their children Jacob and Zachary; her daughter-in-law Rebecca of Cleveland, New York, and children Henry and Amelia; and her son Kevin and his wife Collette of Fort Kent, Maine, and their son Dylan; four best friends, Ruth, Robin, Lisa, and Jolene.
Liliane was raised in Canada and moved to Connecticut for a short time before moving permanently to Fort Kent where she raised her family. She loved her family and loved her pets equally so. She loved birds, she loved to feed them and could name each one that flew into the yard. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time in her garden growing her own vegetables and brilliant flowers. She loved energetic conversation with family and friends and loved the acquaintances stopping by just to chat. In return, everyone loved her great cooking and company. Her family, her pets, and friends were her life and she dedicated herself to them. Liliane was a lover of all animals, especially her sweet 'Pugsy'. After finding out she had bone cancer, she was told she only had five years to live. Instead, she showed the doctors that she was a miracle, and lived fifteen years after her diagnosis.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Maine Cancer Foundation, 170 Falmouth Road, Falmouth, ME 04105; to help prevent another family from losing a mother to cancer; to the LifeFlight Foundation, P.O. Box 899, Camden, ME 04843, who provided her transportation for medical care; or to a local animal shelter to save another beloved pet who could provide love to someone who needs it.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 26, 2021, at St. Louis church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
