Obituary

VAN BUREN--- Lillian M. Gagnon, 93, went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 24, 2014 at a Van Buren healthcare facility following a brief illness. She was born January 4, 1921 in St. Anne, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Onezime and Zeline (Boutot) Pelletier. Lilly was a faithful communicant at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, a member of Sacred Heart of Mary, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to cook and sew for many in the Van Buren area. Lilly's children wish to thank the staff of Borderview Rehab & Living Center for the wonderful care she received during her residency. She is survived by: two children, Geraldine "Gerri" Plourde of Bangor and Glenn Gagnon of Van Buren; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lilly is predeceased by her son, Allen Gagnon, and 12 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 910:30 at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
