Ashland & Presque Isle--- Lillian L. LeTourneau, 90, peacefully entered into rest Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle. She was born July 16, 1929 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Clyde and Laversa (Poitras) Leach.
Lillian worked several years for Burrelle's, Presque Isle. During her earlier years, waitressed at local Ashland restaurants and was a former Boy Scout Leader while her sons were young. She adored supporting her neighbors and local community, whether helping cook meals, attending the many local festivals and events held in Ashland, or donating to causes close to her heart. An avid reader, she was a strong supporter of the Ashland Community Library, and Lillian delighted in flipping through the pages of her favorite crime thrillers.
She is survived by: two sons, Terry LeTourneau of Florida and Dale LeTourneau of Ashland; one daughter, Susan Durrell and her husband Dennis of Ashland; five grandchildren, Kenny, David & Jennifer LeTourneau, Wendy McKenney and Stacy Durrell; 17 great grandchildren; the family's newest addition, a great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Milford J. LeTourneau in 2014, a son, Dennis LeTourneau in 2000, and four brothers, Glen, Robert, Donald, and William Leach.
Lillian and her family express their deepest gratitude to the Leisure Village and especially to Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle, whom she was an avid supporter. The care and compassion she and her family have received from her many friends and family throughout the years is unparalleled.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated at 2PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Ashland Municipal Cemetery, Sheridan Rd., Ashland, with Pastor Nathan Gardiner officiating. In lieu of calling hours, relatives and friends are invited to greet Lillian's family 3 – 5:00 PM at the Ashland VFW, Portage Road, Ashland. Please remain in your vehicles as you drive through Ashland VFW parking lot and share memories and stories of Lillian throughout her years. Arrangements a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St/PO Box 39, Ashland. Donations in Lillian's name may be made to: Aroostook House of Comfort, PO Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769, or Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, PO Box 312, Caribou, ME 04732.
