Van Buren --- Lillian (Cyr) Ouellette 79, died peacefully December 27, 2022, in the local nursing facility with her family by her side.  She was born November 29, 1943, in Hamlin, the daughter of Fred and Jeannette (Masse) Cyr.

Lillian worked in the Van Buren High School Cafeteria for many years before moving on to work for Northeast Vending, where she made sandwiches and meals for vending machines throughout the County.  Lillian found her passion when she started working for Borderview Nursing Home, where she worked until she retired and even after her retirement she helped as a volunteer at the nursing home. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and she enjoyed going dancing with her husband, Herman.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Ouellette and his wife Kim of Bentonville, AR, and Scott Ouellette and his companion Edna Pelletier of Van Buren; four granddaughters, Amanda, Erica, Taylor, and Kaylee; one great granddaughter, Raelyn; one great-grandson Griffin; one sister, Rita Cyr of Manchester CT; one brother, Russell Cyr and his wife Sylvia of Millinocket; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Herman Ouellette, two brothers and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St Bruno-St Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. There will be no visiting hours.
