Obituary

Fort Kent---Linda Woodman, 69, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2022, at a Frenchville health care facility.  She was born in Fort Kent on July 10, 1952, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Bernice (Nicknair) Ouellette.  She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Senior citizens club of Fort Kent.

We all hold fondly Linda's heart of gold and "love for miles".  Her face just lit up to see us, sharing her love and joy!  The family cottage was her true "retreat" from any sorrows or sadness in the world around her.  Linda enjoyed singing and dancing, and we share her exuberant cheerfulness.   She gifted many of us with wonderful home-made afghans of specific colors and designs, for lasting joy and special memories!  Just seeing her pictures brings back her hearty laugh and humor. Rita especially remembers, very spiritual Cursillo and ACTS weekends brought even deeper bonding with Linda. Dan recants the many road trips and Linda's company of characters, with so many songs and laughs "we sometimes missed the exit!" Mom was very lighthearted, and always loved to try and make people laugh. She had a very bright personality and loved music, dancing, and crocheting. She will always be in our hearts and memories.

Linda is survived by her husband David Woodman, son Patrick Woodman and his wife Brittney, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Alexis, Easton, and McKenna Woodman all of Tennessee; Patrick's half-sister Regina Deming, and her son Anthony Strout and his siblings who grew up with Patrick; five sisters, Jeanne Castonguay and her husband Daniel of Connecticut, Annette Alexander of Connecticut, Rita Saucier and her husband Joseph of Wallagrass, Violette Bourgoin and her husband Leroy of Fort Kent, Lucy Oxton and her husband Herb of Connecticut; three brothers, Norman Ouellette and his wife Louanne of Connecticut, Paul Ouellette and his wife Karen of Fort Kent, and Daniel Ouellette and his spouse Harold Resington of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews.  Linda was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Bruce Alexander.
