IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd
Jandreau
December 2, 1941 – February 1, 2020
St. Francis, Portage Lake & Frenchville--- Lloyd "Lefty" Jandreau passed away at the age of 78 on Saturday, February 1, 2020, in Frenchville, Maine. He began his earthly life on December 2, 1941, at the homestead of Leonard & Alvine (Viel) Jandreau in St. Francis. The Jandreau family later moved to Portage Lake, where Lloyd raised his own family.
Lloyd worked for many years in the lumber industry and was the proud owner and operator of Jandreau & Sons Trucking, where he got his handle "Lefty." He was a well-known and loved man within the Portage and surrounding communities and kept a collection of business cards & caps from the many people he would meet over the years. During Lloyd's later years, his hidden talent of woodworking surfaced with each piece created with much thought, detail and determination.
Lloyd will be missed by the mother of his children, Sandra Plourde Jandreau, as well as his children: Kim Jandreau Lavoie and her spouse Kevin; Steven Jandreau and his spouse Taunja; and Rod Jandreau and his spouse Amy. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren whom he cherished: Brandon Lavoie and his spouse Courtney, Breanna Lavoie; Lacey & Dawson Jandreau; and Miranda, Gabrielle & Eli Jandreau. As for great-grandchildren, "Pepere Trucks" recently learned he was going to be a great-grandfather for the first time. Lloyd had a special bond with his siblings and is survived by his sisters, Betty Bragdon, Cora Dube Shorey, Elna Dube, Madeline Raymond, Liza Skinner, Yvette Michaud, Althea Scheaffer, and his brothers Milton and Eldon Jandreau.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his grandson, Tyler Lavoie.
The family would like to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to the staff at St. Joseph's Memory Care for the care, love and support provided to Dad over the years.
