Fort Kent—Lola Mae Deschaine, 73, died on December 23, 2021 at her home after a short illness. Lola was born on November 29, 1948, daughter of Louis and Lenora (Blanchette) Deschaine. She is survived by her sister, Hilda Theriault; her nieces and nephews, Kevin Theriault, Eric Theriault, Bruce Pelletier, Denis Pelletier, Roland Pelletier, Paul Pelletier, Lucy Morin, Ann Marie Desjardin, Vera Grenier, Mae Pelletier, and Karen Pelletier; as well as great-nieces and nephews; her special cousin, Anne (Blanchette) Fournier and Maurice Blanchette. Lola is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Lenora (Blanchette) Deschaine; her two sisters, Nancy Pelletier and Velma Pelletier; one brother, Allan Deschaine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30, 2021, 2:00pm, at St. Mary's church in Eagle Lake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lola's memory at a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
