Obituary

Madawaska---Lorette Pelletier, 92, passed away on July 23, 2015 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Madawaska on December 28, 1922, daughter of the late Levite and Laura (Lachance) Cyr. She was married to the late Luke Pelletier. Together, they raised six children, Jane Houlihan, Frank Pelletier, Helen Couture, Louise Menkhus, Robert Pelletier, and Daniel Pelletier. She had twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. Being very active in the community, she was a member of American Legion Auxiliary for sixty three years. She served as director for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for fifteen years. When her sons were young, she was a Cub Scout leader, as well as a leader for the 4-H Club for her daughters. She was raised Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister for five years. Her ambition and enthusiasm for life are inspirational. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. As per her request, there will be no visiting hours. Burial will be immediately following the Mass at the St. David Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Michael Roof Fund, Checks payable to Knights of Columbus, Po Box 684, Madawaska, ME 04756.
