Portage Lake--- Lou Sandy Boutot, 67, entered peacefully into rest Friday, September 21, 2018, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born September 4, 1951 in Eagle Lake, a daughter of the late Docite and Ida (Belanger) Jandreau Sr.
Lou Sandy was the last cook for the former Portage Lake School before working with several banks in the Ashland area. She was exceptionally well known for her culinary skills and was very involved in church and community events. She had a deep faith which assisted her through any life struggle.
She is survived by: two sons, Timothy Boutot of Ashland and Curt Boutot and his wife Diana of Nashville Plt.; four sisters, twin sister Elizabeth Albert of Winterville, Ida Charette and her husband Gerard Sr. of Portage, Violet Morneault of Eagle Lake , and Cozy Hannan and her husband Terry of Hermon; three brothers, Docite Jandreau Jr. of St. John Plt., Franklin Jandreau and his wife Mary of Madison, CT, and Michael Jandreau and his wife Marguerite of Augusta; sisters-in-law, Pauline, Velma and Dianne Jandreau; and Delores Boutot; brothers-in-law, Zenon Jr., and Ronald Boutot; four step grandchildren and a special step great granddaughter, Sandy Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Lou Sandy was predeceased by her husband of over 48 years, Robert Boutot, in 2017, and four brothers, Donald, Leonard, Huey, and Niles Jandreau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 19 Aroostook Rd., Portage Lake. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday 6-8:00 PM and Wednesday morning 9-9:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in Portage Lake Municipal Cemetery.
