St. John--- Louis F. Belanger, 83, passed away unexpectedly September 11, 2026, following a short illness. He was born October 10, 1942, in Washington, DC, a son of the late Toby Belanger and Madeleine Berube.

He worked many years in Connecticut, owning his own construction company, and later was a manager of a New Jersey golf course. Following his retirement, he returned to his beloved St. John Valley to build his home in St. John Plantation. He adored his peace in the woods and cherished his many years with his best pals, his Chow Chow, Bailey, and his late cat, Shadow.

He is survived by four children, Kevin Celli, Wendy Marek, Melissa Vestal, and Krista Belanger; fourteen siblings, Naomi, Marie, Philip, Phyllis, Mark, Sam, Jeff, Jenny, Joseph, Tim, Danny, Ruth, Paul, and Paula; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Louis was predeceased by a brother, Michael.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at St. John Cemetery, St. John Plantation.
