Madawaska---Louis R. Dubois, 85, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on October 18, 2011. He was born in Fort Kent on December 5, 1925, the son of the late Paul and Marie (Clavette) Dubois. Louis worked as an inspector for Pratt and Whitney for many years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 147 of Madawaska as well as a member of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus, council # 2638 of Madawaska. He was always found outside of his beautiful home, maintaining his perfect lawn and yard. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty seven years, Adrienne "Bernier" Dubois of Madawaska; three daughters, Louise Pederson and her husband Dwayne of Hubbardston, MA, Denise Kovachevich of St. Louis, MO, Nicole Dubois and her husband John Modica of Guilford, CT; two sons, James Dubois and his wife Mary of Oklahoma City, OK, and Marcel Dubois and his wife Elise Adde of Arlington, VA; nine grandchildren, Jimmy, Christopher, Bryon, Jacques, Paul, Alec, Stephanie, Morgan, Courtney; eight siblings, Bernice Vaillancourt of Van Buren, Blanche Roix, Albe Dubois and his wife Rachel, and Rita Picard and her husband Bert all of Madawaska, Gerald Dubois and his wife Rose of Kentucky, Eunice Sevy and her husband Ronald of St. Agatha, Robert Dubois and his wife Odette of Cross Lake, Jeanne Martin and her husband Camille of Connecticut. He was predeceased by one sister, Aurella Paradis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30pm on Friday, October 21 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 12pm until time of service on Friday.
