Van Buren--- Louise Albert, 79, peacefully entered into rest November 14, 2024, at a Van Buren healthcare facility. She was born December 27, 1944 in Caribou, a daughter of the late Pierre and Ida (Godin) Ouellette.
Louise was a longtime nurse's aide and worked at Borderview Manor, Van Buren, and Lakewood Nursing Home, Waterville. She loved cooking and baking and sharing her goods with her family. She liked listening to country music, and, to keep her hands busy, she liked to put together jigsaw puzzles late into the evening.
She is survived by three daughters, Lisa Lavoie and her husband Daniel of Canada, Sandra Arbo of Waterville, and Sharon Landon and her husband Scott of Burnham; six grandchildren, Bryan, Dylan, Chelsea, Alyssa, Emily, and Ben; seven great grandchildren, Riley, Mackenzey, Brodey, Peyton, Ivy, Jaxon, and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Louise, was predeceased by her loving husband, Roger Albert, in 1984, her son-in-law, Tom Arbo, and siblings, Germaine Gervais, Lena Lapointe, Martha Gagnon, Armand , Eddie, Leo, Maurice, and George Ouellette.
A graveside service will be celebrated at 2 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Bruno Cemetery, Van Buren, where Louise will be laid to rest with her late husband. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either: Camp Kita, PO Box 238, North Berwick Maine 03906, or to a charity that supports Autism awareness or education. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
