Obituary

Grand Isle---Louise Cote, 76, passed away on February 1, 2014 at a health care facility in Cape Coral, FL. She was born in St. Agatha on February 21, 1937, daughter of the late Mac and Philime (Michaud) Chasse. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and knitting. Her family especially enjoyed visiting with her and having her famous ployes and butterscotch pies. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her face would light up whenever they would visit. She is survived by seven children, James and his wife Claire of Grand Isle, Robert of Hebron, Connecticut, Verna Chaney and her husband Timothy of Concord, New Hampshire, Elaine Gaudreau and her husband Brian of Windsor, Connecticut, Llewellyn and his wife Esther of Madawaska, Roger and his wife Linda of Cape Coral, Florida, Ernest and his wife Kathleen of Port St. Lucie, Florida; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Dyer, Dorothy Paradis, and Viola Boudreau all of Florida; three brothers, Gerald Chasse of Connecticut, Gene Chasse of Florida, and Robert Chasse of St. Basile, New Brunswick. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Cote in 2012; an infant daughter, Linda; daughter-in-law, Nancy Beaulieu Cote; and an infant sister, Sylvia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the St. Gerard Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday and from 8:30am until time of service on Friday.
