Obituary
Van Buren & Bristol, CT--- Lucille Blanchette, 75, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2018, at a Caribou hospital. She was born February 19, 1943 in New Britain, CT, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Boscarino) Aparo.
Lucille last worked as an underwriter for Aetna Insurance, Hartford, for many years and previously as an LPN for several doctors and hospitals in Bristol, CT. Her and her husband relocated to Van Buren in 2015 to be closer to their beloved granddaughter, Nicole. She enjoyed playing on her computer and loved hour long drives "around the block." She adored her children, step-children, and loved to spoil her grandchildren
She is survived by: her husband of 32 years, Francis "Tony" Blanchette of Van Buren; seven children, Steven Blanchette of Oakland, Tony Blanchette Jr. of Bristol, CT, Kenneth Blanchette and his wife Debbie of Terryville, CT, Randy Blanchette of Bristol, CT, Jennifer Moser and her husband Mike of Newcastle, CO, Tricia Sibley and her husband John of Bayfield, CO, and Cheryl Castonguay and her husband Scott of Van Buren; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Aparo and his wife Linda and Francis Aparo and his wife Shirley, all of Bristol, CT; and many nieces and nephews.
At Lucille's request, funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
