Van Buren--- Lucille Caron, 82, died peacefully Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at a Caribou hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born August 8, 1934 in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Adolph and Leona (Gagnon) Caron.
Lucille last worked with Katahdin Trust Company, formerly People's Heritage Bank, Van Buren, for over 30 years as a teller and many years previously with A.C. Madore Insurance as a secretary. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Bruno-St Remi Church all her life. Lucille was an avid vegetable gardener and shared her canned goods with family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting woolen socks and mittens; all of her nieces and nephews will cherish all of her warm keepsakes. She will be remember by family and friends for her kind-hearted soul, fudge, and baked goods she generously shared with all she met.
She is survived by: two sisters, Cecilia Lagasse and her husband Aurele of Van Buren and Rolande Dumond and her husband Reno of Bristol, CT. She will lovingly be remember as "Aunt Lu Lu" by her five nieces, Lois Avery, Rhonda Caron, Kim Wilson, Michelle Winiarski, and Dawn Moore, five nephews, Allan, Marc, Jeffrey & Wayne Lagasse, and Kevin Caron and many great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Annette Caron and Norma Caron
Besides her parents, Lucille is predeceased by her siblings, Antoinette, Camile and Roland Caron.
A Mass of Christen Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday 6-8:00 PM and Tuesday morning 9-10:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Burial will be in St. Bruno Cemetery.
